On Saturday, October 24th, Four Sammies from Rutgers made the journey down to Philadelphia to witness the initiation of the refounders of the Mu Eta Chapter at Drexel University. Our Congratulations go out to the new Drexel Sammies as well as Sigma Alpha Mu as an organization. |

This past Friday, October 9th, the brothers of Sigma Alpha Mu attended the Homecoming carnival hosted by Rutgers University in Bucceleuch Park. There was many a carnival booth, and prizes were available to those who won enough tickets at the games, most of which were run by Rutgers fraternities and sororities. The Sammy brothers were privileged enough to be put in charge of the 'High Striker' booth, where carnival goers got to 'step right up' and smash the target hard enough with a mallet to ring the bell at the top of the gauge. There was an excellent turnout from the Rutgers community, and everyone had a fun time. |

It's Tuesday, September 1st and that means the school year has officially started! Welcome back to everyone, and welcome to Rutgers for all of our freshmen and transfer students. Sammy is looking forward to a great year of meeting new people who will become friends and members of our fraternity. The past few days we have spent working on our September activity schedule, helping students move into the dorms, and meeting new people at the involvement fairs and around campus. The new house at 79 Huntington St. has been great so far, so come visit us and get to know the brothers of Sammy. Our September schedule can be found here and is available as a .pdf file here. 2009 Sigma Alpha Mu Convention |

This year all of the Rutgers, Sigma Delta chapter council attended the 2009 Sigma Alpha Mu Convention. It is always an amazing experience when hundreds of brothers join together, and this year was no different. We met with brothers we never knew we had and shared our ideas and experiences with men from all over the country, including brothers from San Diego State, Drexel, Brandeis, Florida International and many more. Those who have never attended a national convention are strongly urged to go at some point in their lives. Council came back excited and motived for the Sigma Delta Summer Retreat and plan on getting things into gear for the new school year.  |

On April 26th, nine Sammy brothers along with friends went down to the park to support Sigma Kappa and their common national philanthropy, the Alzheimer's Association. Brothers participated in the wide variety of games set up by Sigma Kappa, most notably the pieing of Sigma Kappa's president in the face and the apple bobbing contest, won by Prior Alex Gilbert.
