Sammy At the Homecoming Carnival |

This past Friday, October 9th, the brothers of Sigma Alpha Mu attended the Homecoming carnival hosted by Rutgers University in Bucceleuch Park. There was many a carnival booth, and prizes were available to those who won enough tickets at the games, most of which were run by Rutgers fraternities and sororities. The Sammy brothers were privileged enough to be put in charge of the 'High Striker' booth, where carnival goers got to 'step right up' and smash the target hard enough with a mallet to ring the bell at the top of the gauge. There was an excellent turnout from the Rutgers community, and everyone had a fun time. |

On January 29th, SAMMY brothers joined the rowdy RAC PAC to take on Seton Hall University, fellow Big East members. The Scarlet Knights entered SHU's home arena 60+ in attendance, but with the volume of 600. Alumni and undergrads, alike, shouted R!!!! U!!!! across the ROCK arena. The game finished 67-70 in SHU's favor. GO R U !! |

 As we finish our finals up this semester and head into the new year, the Brothers of Sigma Alpha Mu would like to wish you a happy and healthy holiday season, whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, and of course we cannot forget...Festivus, for the rest of us.
Remember, Spring Rush is coming up in January and February. Watch for Events. Enjoy your break and we hope to see you in 2009!

 Mike Teel breaks the Big East Record for most touchdowns in one game by a quarterback. Rutgers Football dominates the Louisville Cardinals in an unprecedented blowout. Sigma Alpha Mu attend their last game as undergrads at Rutgers Stadium. It was a spectacular night for all students and fans, alike. Sigma Alpha Mu brothers attended the final home game of the 2008 season together, crowding out the student section. Not to brag, but the Scarlet Knight Mascot sort of favored the rowdy section that we just happened to be in...and yes, we were on ESPN doing 49 pushups with the Knight on top at the end of the second half. Sorry Knight.... |

On Tuesday December 9th, 2008, Brother Ross Gordon was named Cluck U's Chicken Wing Hot Sauce King! The Travel Channel came to Rutgers campus this week to film an episode for their renowned show "Extreme Eating," visiting famous fast-food joints around the nation. This week, they visited Rutgers' famous grease trucks and Cluck U on Easton Avenue, among other sites. The Brothers in attendance dominated the competition overall, winning in overall quanity eating by one person(30 wings in 5 minutes), speed eating of 6 "911 Hot Wings," and the unprecedented consuming of the ATOMIC FUSION hot sauce. One drop was all that it took for Brother Gordon to take a trip to the center of the Earth and back. The event will air on "Extreme Eating" on the Travel Channel sometime in June or July 2009.
