Sigma Alpha Mu is proud and happy to dedicate ourselves to worthwhile causes. Community service and philanthropy are very important aspects of a fraternity experience.
Our national philanthropy is the Judy Fund for benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association. This year the fraternity has adopted No Shave November as our signature event to raise money and awareness for the fund. Brothers also regularly set up tabling events on campus where all donations go directly to the Judy Fund.
The fraternity is also proud participants of Rutgers Dance Marathon, the largest student-run philanthropic event in New Jersey. This event raises money for the Embrace Kids Foundation which helps improve the quality of life for children with cancer, sickle-cell and other serious disorders. Last year, the fraternity raised over $9,000 for this amazing cause.
